Question #3

Has your impression of Mr. Keetch changed since you learned that he planned to hide Zachariah?  Explain your reasons.

  1. Yes, they have changed because I thought that he was just a crew member who wants to get revenge on the captain. I thought he didn't care about anyone else since he doesn't want to get in a fight with the captain without having any weapons. Now that he has risked his life to hide Zachariah, it shows that is not a selfish crew member.

  2. My impression of Keetch has changed because he is acting like a better person now. Thanks to him, Charlotte has a person to semi-trust again. I say semi because she does not know if he has killed Hollybrass or not and she is still pondering the possibility of him wanting revenge on the captain and his first mate. My impression also has not changed because he did not stand up for Charlotte, a fellow jack, during her trail. I was expecting at east one person to, but I was surprised when no one did. All in all, Keetch is a good person at heart, but when it comes to certain things, he cannot be trusted.

  4. My impression on Mr. Keetch has changed because he was a normal crew member on the Seahawk and maybe Mr. Keetch told Zachariah that he would hide Zachariah and he said yes so Mr. Keetch hid Zachariah and he seems like another person because he usually cares for only himself.

  5. I first thought Mr. Keetch was some type of creeper because when Charlotte first got on the ship, he stared at her. Now, I think that Mr. Keetch is a intelligent man. I bet this whole round-robin thing and the whipping of Zachariah was all planned. He probably planned the whole entire trip to Rhode Island.

  7. Yes, because he was trying to well, stow away Zachariah becausse everyone else thought he was dead but he wasn't. He basically wanted to get revenge on the captain for "killing" Zachariah.

  8. Keetch's plan to hide Zachariah shows that he is more of his own person. Just like Charlotte, he was a goody-goody that always followed every command that The Captain said, but now he has the courage to go against the captain and fight for what he believes in.

  9. I never really had an impression on Mr. Keetch. but i just thought he was shy, did what needed to be done to stay hidden and out of the way, and was just a normal crew worker. Now my impression is pretty much the same. He is just helping out a friend like any good person would do. He is still the hidden, shy sailor he has always been thought. I also have a sort of feeling about him that makes me not trust him because he doesnt say anything and makes it seem like he is hiding something!
