I believe that Charlotte's accusation that Captain Jaggery is mad is true. I support this claim by the facts that Jaggery will do seemingly anything to keep sailing his ship, including murder. It is bad enough to kill two people on your quest for power, but to blame one of the murders on Charlotte, an innocent girl, is horrible.
Yes, I can support Charlotte's view that the captain was mad because he wanted her to be hanged to death because she went against him. That is the same with Zachariah and Hollybrass. He was mad at them for other reasons, too. Those reasons are that they would not follow directions. So what does the captain do? He goes out and murders two people (or more...???) and then does not even care. He is a psyco who should be kept in an asylum for good.
I can support that Captain Jaggery is mad because happy people don't usually kill 3 innocent people on a ship. Also, he is really angry because everyone on the ship hates him, he has a bad reputation, his shipmates are trying to overthrow him, and there was a "round robin" on the ship. Anyone would be mad because of those reasons but it is his fault because he did what he did for those things to start happening. Captain Jaggery is mad at Charlotte because she shows signs of rebellion against him since she is not afraid of him so he becomes angry. Anyone would see it because of the way he acts so Charlotte is right to feel that Captain Jaggery is mad.
I believe that charlotte's accusation or Captian Jaggery being mad is VERY true because he wanted to basically kill Charlotte for going against him and trying to get the crew to too. He also started to go psyco after he killed Cranick and "killed" Zachariah. I was surprised he hadn't hung himself for all the guilt he should have had but doesn't. He was going to hang Charlotte for killing Hollybrass when she didn't and she got her way out of it.
I can support Charlotte's evidence that the captain is mad because it would be extreme for any regular person to kill somebody. I agree with Maria when she says that he is angry and brutal because his crew is kind of scared of him.
I do support charlottes reasoning because step in her shoes for a while. You are on a ship. Captain Jaggery who you once thought was a good man is off trying to hang two people, maybe more as he goes on. And YOUR (charlotte) one of them, being hung for something you didn't even do...and yes I agree with adina saying he should be put in an asylum for good because who knows what he'll do off a ship?
Well, the captain is OBVIOUSLY mad because he thinks he can get away with killing the owners daughter and still go with a clean slate. He is power crazy if you ask me!
he is definitely mad. He killed his first mate, a stowaway, and "killed" a crew member. I agree with almost every body because he is insane like everybody said. The only person that could ever love him would be his mother which, i think that even she couldn't love him.
I can definitely support Charlotte's view that the captain is mad. He has killed 3 men on board of the Seahawk so far, which is crazy. Plus everyone on the ship hates him so why wouldn't he be mad. Then he blames Charlotte, the daughter of the owner on the ship, he is just like some sort of insane psychopath if you ask me!!!
I think charlotte is right when saying captain Jaggery is mad because he tried to kill three people because they went against him and he thought it would do the world good to kill Charlotte. He thought it would restore balance by MURDERING 3 people including a little girl. He is truly crazy.

ReplyDeleteCaptain Jaggery is mad because no one in his right mind would murder, much less attempt to murder three people!
ReplyDeleteCaptain Jaggery is insane like Charolette said because he thinks he can solve everything by causing more chaos.
