It means that if you cross the same sea again the same stuff won't happen again like somebody falls off the ship its not gonna happen every single time.
This saying means that once a crew sails together, they will never be the same. Something could have happened that changed everybody's life FOREVER!!!! An example is that someone could have slipped and broken a bone, but that might not be the case the next voyage.
You may have sailed the ocean once but you don't know that the second will be the same even your own first mate might choose mutiny every voyage is another mystery just waiting to happen.
the saying, No ship sails the same sea twice." Means even if you actually cross the same sea twice the voyage itself wont be the same. If there is a murder on the ship one time, another ride will maybe have have a crash, or just be peacefull and normall.
I agree with Elizabeth because even if you cross the same sea five times, every single time will be a different scene, drama, and passengers. Nothing can be exactly the same as another.
