Personally, no. The reason being is because she has heard all this bad stuff about him, and was scared to meet him at first. Her first days there, everyone was warning her about the captain, but when she has tea with him for probably an hour at most, she suddenly trusts him? I see many things wrong with that. The whole thing could be an act for all she knows. I would still not trust him if I were her. You can't get to know someone that everyone says terrible things about in an hour, and then just not have any thought about the other peoples opinions on him.
I don't think that she should trust him after hearing the bad stuff about would not make a good person to trust especially the situation Charlotte is in she might want a diffrent friend than Captain Jaggery.
I personally don't think that Charlotte should trust Captain Jaggery because she was a bit apprehensive about meeting him at first and she should have gone with her gut feeling after hearing all the horrid stories about him. Another point is that the ENTIRE crew is going against him. She has made a bad choice that she will, hopefully, change in the near future.
I think some of the other peoples anwsers might of chaged in who i trusted now im thinking that the captin might of just wanted to pertend he was nice and steal the dirk and kill someone
I think that she very very wrong with trusting captain Jaggery because no one in the crew likes him and Zachariah was telling her all the things that the captain had done. She basically likes him because he is the head of command in the ship and he basically is taking her to North America and he should be trusted. ( in her opinion.)
I feel something unusuall about Captain Jaggery. The WHOLE crew disagrees with his action of nice and out of the way kindness. Expecially if Zachariah gives Charalotte a Knife, it makes me feel like something is up, plus if stuff there is all weird the captain is supposed to be controlling all if it, then I second guess trustion Jaggery.
I never thought that Charlotte should trust Captain Jaggery. First, the whole crew and everyone who has heard of him hate him. I think she should rethink trusting Captain Jaggery because the whole crew vs Captain Jaggery, I would go with the more people.
