Question #6

Do you think Charlotte made the right decision at the end of the novel?  What would you have done?

  1. I think Charlotte did make the right decision because she is a changed person now and is not the snobby little girl who thinks she is better than everyone else. She is a mature girl who doesn't judge people by how they look, what they wear, or how much class they have. I would've done the same because right now, her family doesn't even want to hear what happened and they are not fair. She just got out of Captain Jaggery's hands but now, she got into hr family's. So since she knew who understands her the most, she did what she had to do.

  2. I think that Charlotte did make the correct decision because she belongs on the ocean. The ocean and the ship are her home, and she knows it. I probably would have done what Charlotte did because I probably would have gotten emotionally attached to the ship and the crew,so I would have had to go and become part of the crew and live my life there.

  3. I agree with Adina, Charlotte just needs to follow her heart. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, as long as you are happy and comfortable in your own skin. I also agree with Maria, Charlotte is not the same girl she was she she dock the Seahawk. She was a young, snobby, goody-two-shoes that followed whatever her elders said. Now she has an opinion, she is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in, even if that person could kill her at any moment (Captain Jaggery) or her own father. She is now mature and ready to take control of her own life and make decisions that she wouldn't even have dreamed about when she docked the Seahawk for the first tie.

  4. I think Charlotte made the 100% correct decision, because like Maria said Charlotte isn't just some snobby little girl that can just boss people around. I think that the Seahawk experience changed her life forever and now she is back where she belongs, I think that now she will live maybe not a longer, but happier life, and I think I would have done exactly what Charlotte did, because that was the right decision.
