I would tell her, whatever you do keep the dirk. You never know when you might need it. You can't trust anybody with anything. Don't wander around places you don't know.
I would tell her to keep the dirk in a safe place and to make sure who she trusts is really trustworthy. You can't really trust anyone on the ship though. Like Lauren said, DO NOT wander places you don't know, or places you're not supposed to go.
I would have told her to keep the dirk because you never know when you might need it.I would have also told her not to judge a person by there appearance but to get to know them, other than that I would have done the same things.
I think Charlotte should make a decoy hiding spot, even if she says it's there it will be somewhere else. I would tell Charlotte that she needs to spend more time with Zachariah, talk about what they like, where they came from etc. Not just make assumptions stating if he was her friend or not in a day. I would tell Charlotte to not judge people by appearances. She kind of judged Captain Jaggery by the way he had his hold set up. I would tell her to go back to the brig with a candle. Obviously, people don't want her there, so there must be something worth checking out.
I would tell her to not give out her trust to just anyone, keep it to yourself until you know you're giving it to the right person. Also I think she should keep the Dirk close at all times, you never know what could happen in the middle of the ocean with very few witnesses.
I would tell her, " Charolotte, you have n idea what you are getting yourself into. take that dirk and use it whenever necessary. If you need help, ask Zachariah for help and defense moves!"
I would say to Charlotte to keep the dirk since it is for her protection and when she is in danger, she can use the dirk and another thing I would tell her is to always watch your back since somebody could be behind you and you wont know what will happen to you if you don't always watch your back.
I think that I would immediately tell Charlotte to keep the dirk. She was no idea what she is getting herself into if you get kidnapped or if anything happens to you use the dirk. It is you only way to know that in some way that you are safe.
I would try to understand more about her first. I would make Charalotte describe to me her voyage and give her advice on keeping the dirk and trusting no one but a soul who really tries to be nice in a genuine way. just like Zachariah, his niceness seams real, but Jaggery's seems like an act, and fake.
I would tell Charlotte that not everyone should be your friend on the ship. Signs from the very beginning to now show that not everyone trusts Captain Jaggery. Like the porter that we met on page 9, the conversation was much more intense once he heard who the captain was. He asked for him to repeat what he said, "Did you say Captain Jaggery?", the porter asked Mr. Grumage. The more we go on in the story Captain Jaggery seems to reveal his true personality.
I would tell Charlotte to stop trusting Captain Jaggery and to find who her real friends are. Also, I would tell her to follow her instincts but to still watch out for any clues or answers.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Lauren and Rocko. Charlotte never knows when she might be in danger and could use the dirk to protect herself.
