  3. I believe that Captain Jaggery's true nature came out when he got all his weapons out to use on the crew. the worst one was the whip that killed Zachariah. After the first crack of the whip, Charlotte cracked the code and went on a wild rage. Now she hates the captain and loves the crew. She even wants the be a part of it!

  4. I agree with Adina. There were two ways that he could have handled that situation. Each one would effect Charlotte's opinion of him. He chose to crush the mutiny with a show of force. The alternative was to change his ways and step down. His choice effected Charlotte's opinion of him.

  7. Charlotte finally realized who was right and who was wrong after Captain Jaggery showed his ugly side by killing two people right in front of her. The worst part was that one of them was Zachariah, Charlotte's only trusted friend. She now hates the captain and wishes for the voyage to be over with so she can forget about it. But first, she wants to help fixing her mistake.

  8. I agree with you Maria, but for me, it's also the fact that Captain Jaggery felt no remorse for the murder that he had committed. He felt no sorrow, and just kept on going as if the deaths of Zachariah and Mr. Cranick had never happened. He didn't even a allow a proper funeral.

  9. I think that she recognized Captain Jag for the true man he is when she watched him commit two murders and not feel an ounce of grief. And he began to treat her like she was one of the crew and slapped her so it was about time she saw the real him.

  10. I think Charlotte finally recognize the captain's true nature when Captain Jaggery cracked the first whip onto Zachariah. When that happened everything came clear to Charlotte. Not to mention the death of Mr. Cranick.
