  1. Grime starts teaching Charlotte to use a knife after she fixes the sail. He teaches her so she will become more skilled with the knife, and can use it effectively in emergencies.

  2. Grimes teaches Charlotte how to use a knife a little bit after she fixes the sail. He teaches her how to throw a knife so she can use it later on for emergencies. Also, he might know something will happen soon for her to need it. Knife throwing might also be something that a sailor needs to know.

  3. Grimes begins to teach Charlotte to use a knife after she fixes the sail so that she could be more prepared in the future. It was a good choice because she could fix anything that needed fixing in the future and do more of her part on the boat. It was a poor choice because now Charlotte probably has a greater chance of being accused of the murder. I strongly believe that she is not the murderer, but we can onl read on to find out.

  5. I agree with Adina, she has a higher chance to be accused because she knows how to use a knife. I think it was a good decision to teach her because she can cut things properly, and safely, maybe if one of the ropes on the ship need to be cut. (if need be), and defend her self (if need be).

  6. I also agree with Adina. But I don't agree with teaching a 13 year old girl how to use a knife. She is losing her proper background.

  7. I agree with Ryan because she is one of the crew now and they know how to use a knife so should she. I also think that it is not a good idea to teach a girl of her background and age how to use a knife.

  8. I agree with Adina. It's good that she knows if shes in a situation where she needs to fix something that needs a knife and she'll know how to use it if she's in danger but then she will have a greater chance of being accused for the murder.

  9. Grimes started teaching Charlotte to use a knife, so if they ran into any trouble with any of her fellow crew members on the ship, she would know what to do. It is a good decision on Grimes's part.

  10. Grimes began to teach Charlotte how to use the knife shortly after she fixed the sail.I agree with ryan, because Charlotte does, and she knows it, need to be more efficient and effective with a knife. Just like the rest of the crew, and I do think that is was a good decision because she can grow of this and use this technique in the future.
